THE MINIONS

Hello everyone!

It was a relaxing day yesterday! Classes in the morning and cinema in the afternoon! We watched The Minions and it was so much fun! The film was quite easy to understand for the students and so they laughed a lot! After that, as the film finished a bit early, some of them went round Norwich to do the last-day-shopping. Here you have a selfie of our students with other Italian and Spanish guys they met and with whom they get on really well!

Fue un día de relax día ayer! Clases por la mañana y el cine por la tarde! Vimos Los Minions y fue una pelicula muy divertida! La película fue bastante fácil de entender para los chicos en general y  nos reimos un monton! Después, ya que la película acabo un poco temprano, algunos de los chicos se fueron a hacer las ultimas compras por Norwich. Aquí tienes un selfie de nuestros niños  con otros chicos italianos y españoles que conocieron y con los que se llevan realmente bien!

Half-day-excursion on Wednesday!

FLEBRIGG HALL

Hello everyone!

Here you have some picture of the half-day-excursion we did on Wednesday: we went to Flebrigg Hall. Felbrigg Hall is a 17th-century country house located in Felbrigg, Norfolk, England. Part of a National Trust property, the unaltered 17th-century house is noted for its Jacobean architecture and fine Georgian interior. Outside the house are a walled garden, an orangery and orchards. Felbrigg Hall stood at the centre of one of the largest estates in Norfolk. Today 2015, the Felbrigg estate covers some 1,760 acres (approximately 7 square kilometres) of parkland including the 520-acre (2.1 km²) Great Wood, which shelters the house (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/felbrigg-hall/).

It was a very interesting afternoon, but after while it was raining a lot so we had to go back to Norwich earlier  than expected! Tomorrow we are going to the cinema to watch The Minions...just two more days to go back to Spain...:'(

Aquí teneis algunas fotos de la excursion de medio dia que hicimos el miércoles: fuimos a Flebrigg Hall. Felbrigg Hall es una casa de campo del siglo 17 situada en Felbrigg, Norfolk, Inglaterra. Es una propiedad que pertenece al National Trust y se ha mantenido sin alteracion alguna desde el siglo 1. Se caracteriza por su arquitectura de estilo jacobino y un fino interior de estilo georgiano. Fuera de la casa hay un jardín amurallado, un invernadero y huertos. Felbrigg Hall esta considerada una de las fincas más grandes de Norfolk. Hoy, en 2015, la finca de Felbrigg abarca unos 1.760 acres (aproximadamente 7 kilómetros cuadrados) de zonas verdes, incluyendo los 520 acres (2,1 km2) Great Wood, que alberga la casa (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/felbrigg-hall /).

Fue una tarde muy interesante, pero después de un rato se puso a llover mucho, así que tuvimos que volver a Norwich antes de lo esperado! Mañana nso vamos al cine a ver The Minions ... sólo dos días más para volver a España... : '(

 Hello everyone!

Here you have some videos of yesterday afternoon. We went to a place called Funky Monkeys where they were rollerskating the whole afternoon. It was so much fun! There were some students falling, but nothing to worry about! 

Today we are going to Flebrigg Hall Gardens and State (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/felbrigg-hall/). I'll post some pictures of our excursion tomorrow!

Starting our final week!

AFTERNOON PLAYING BADMINTON!

 

 Hello everyone!!

And our fourth week here arrived...Monday again!! It was a sporty afternoon that day. We went to Wensum Lodge, a sports center by the river Wensum, where we played badminton. We had an instructor as well teaching the students how to play badminton as well as some playing tricks. It was the debut of our Sports Announcer...Galaz! Does it ring a bell who is he imitating? He did it so well!

  Y ya estamos en nuestra cuarta semana...lunes otra vez !! Tuvimos una tarde deportiva ese dia. Fuimos al Wensum Lodge, un centro deportivo junto al río Wensum, donde jugamos al bádminton. Tuvimos un profe que enseño a los chicos cómo jugar al bádminton, así como algunos trucos. Tambien tuvimos el debut de nuestro comentarista deportivo ... Galaz! ¿Les suena a quien esta imitando? Lo hizo genial!

CANOEING AT EATON VALE!!

Hello Spain!

After the morning classes this last Friday and the certificates ceremony, we went straight to Eaton Vale. Eaton Vale is a big activity Centre which is 15 min away from Norwich City Center by bus (http://www.eatonvale.co.uk/). You've got here lots of videos I took of the canoeing activity we did! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN AS YOU CAN SEE! After the activity, the students were completely soaked, they were literally jumping into the river! Finally, we all met in Norwich and we went to have dinner at an Italian Restaurant called Bella Italia. DELICIOUS! ;)

Hola España!

Después de las clases de por la mañana de este pasado viernes y la entrega de certificados, nos fuimos directamente a Eaton Vale. Eaton Vale es un centro de actividades bastante grande que está a 15 minutos del centro de Norwich en autobús (http://www.eatonvale.co.uk/). Aqui teneis un montón de vídeos de la actividad que hicimos: CANOEING ! FUE MUY, MUY DIVERTIDO COMO PODEIS VER! Después de la actividad, los chicos estaban completamente empapados...se pusieron literalmente a saltar al rio! Por último, todos nos reunimos en Norwich y nos fuimos a cenar a un restaurante italiano llamado Bella Italia. DELICIOSO! ;)

Friday was the last day for Mario, Diego, Enol and Coque! Here you have the videos of the Certificates Ceremony we had at the school. They were given their certificates and marks. They have done really well during these three weeks...WELL DONE BOYS! HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY BACK HOME! WE'LL MISS YOU LOTS!

El viernes fue el último día para Mario, Diego, Enol y Coque! Aquí teneis los vídeos de la entrega de certificados que tuvimos en la escuela. Les dieron sus diplomas de asistencia y las notas. Lo han hecho muy bien durante estas tres semanas ... Bien hecho chicos! QUE TENGAIS UN BUEN VIAJE DE VUELTA A CASA ! OS ECHAREMOS MUCHO DE MENOS!

NORWICH CATHEDRAL AND RIVERSIDE WALK!!

 

Hello Spain!!

Here you have some pictures of our activity yesterday morning. First, we visited Norwich Cathedral. Norwich has got two cathedrals: one is Anglican and the other one is Catholic. The one that you see in the picture is the Anglican, which is the most popular one. After that, we had a walk round the main river in Norwich: River Wensum. It was a beautiful sunny morning so we all enjoyed the walk a lot! Today, we have sports activities at a place called Eaton Vale and in the evening we are going to have dinner all together at Bella Italia restaurant. Four of our students are going back to Spain on Saturday :'( (Enol, Diego, Coque and Mario) We'll miss you guys!!

Aquí tienes algunas fotos de nuestra actividad de ayer por la mañana. En primer lugar, visitamos la catedral de Norwich. Norwich tiene dos catedrales: una es anglicana y la otra es católica. La que podeis ver en la imagen es la anglicana, que es la más conocida. Después de eso, dimos un paseo por el principal rio de Norwich: Río Wensum. Tuvimos una preciosa mañana bastante soleada, así que todos disfrutamos mucho del paseo! Hoy, vamos a hacer actividades deportivas en un lugar llamado Eaton Vale y por la noche vamos a cenar todos juntos en el restaurante Bella Italia. Cuatro de nuestros chicos se van de regreso a España el sábado: '(   (Enol, Diego Coque y Mario) Os echaremos de menos chicos!!

Tuesday and Wednesday activities

CITY SEARCH AND GREAT YARMOUTH!!

 

Hello everyone!

 Our third week is going fantastically! On Wednesday afternoon we did an activity called City Search which was basically like the Spanish gincana. The had to go all around the city trying to answer the questions they were given as quick as possible. Celia and Olga won the competition and we gave them a prize! On Wednesday, they had a half-day-excursion to Great Yarmouth. Great Yarmouth  is a coastal town in Norfolk, England. It is located at the mouth of the River Yare, 20 miles (30 km) east of Norwich.

The town has been a seaside resort since 1760, and is the gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the North Sea. For hundreds of years it was a major fishing port, depending mainly on the herring fishery, but its fishing industry suffered a steep decline in the second half of the 20th century, and has now all but disappeared. The town has two beaches and two piers. (http://www.great-yarmouth.co.uk/)

 

It was a special day as well as we had two birthdays today: Enol and Mario's birthday! Have a look at the video and the lovely chocolate cake we ate!

 Nuestra tercera semana va fantásticamente! El miércoles por la tarde hicimos una actividad llamada City Searh que era básicamente como la gincana en español. Los chicos tenian que ir por toda la ciudad tratando de responder a las preguntas que les dimos lo más rápido posible. Celia y Olga ganaron la competencion y les dimos un premio! El miércoles, tenían una excursión de medio dia a Great Yarmouth. Great Yarmouth es una ciudad costera en Norfolk, Inglaterra. Se encuentra en la desembocadura del río Yare, a 20 millas (30 km) al este de Norwich.La ciudad ha sido un centro turistico costero desde 1760, y es la puerta de entrada de los Norfolk Broads al Mar del Norte. Durante cientos de años fue un importante puerto pesquero, dependiendo principalmente de la pesca del arenque, pero su industria pesquera sufrio un fuerte descenso en la segunda mitad del siglo 20, y ahora ha desaparecido. La ciudad cuenta con dos playas y dos muelles. (http://www.great-yarmouth.co.uk/)
 Fue un dia muy especial tambien este miercoles ya que tuvimos dos cumpleaños: el de Enol y el de Mario! Echad un vistazo al vídeo y  a la deliciosa tarta de chocolate que nos comimos!

Monday morning activity

PRINTING THE PEOPLE

Here we are in our third week...time passes by soooo quickly! The weather now is purely English: clouds and rain! Fantastic! haha :D Monday morning we went to a place called Printing the people where the students could experiment with a real printer to make a design and then have a beautiful poster of their ENGLISH EXPERIENCE sticking the most popular and characteristic places and things from Norwich.

Tomorrow we'll have the City Search activity and our last DISCO NIGHT!!

Aquí estamos en nuestra tercera semana ... el tiempo pasa taaaan rápido! El tiempo ahora es puramente Inglés: nubes y lluvia! Fantástico! haha: D El lunes por la mañana fuimos a un lugar llamado Printing the people, donde los chicos pudieron experimentar con una imprenta real para hacer un diseño y luego tener un cartel muy chulo de su English

PLEASUREWOOD HILLS!!

Sundays are generally a free day for all of us, so instead of staying in Norwich again and go shopping and spend money, I thought it would be a great idea to go to a theme park and have fun: Pleasurewood Hills. Here you have videos of the amazing day we had there. Don't panic, all of them arrived home safe and sound!

Los domingos son generalmente un día libre para todos nosotros, así que en vez de quedarnos en Norwich de nuevo e ir de compras y gastar dinero, pensé que sería una gran idea ir a un parque de atracciones y divertirnos un poco: Pleasurewood Hills. Aquí teneis los vídeos del día tan increíble que pasamos juntos. No os asusteis, todos ellos llegaron a casa sanos y salvos!

Saturday full-day-excursion!

LONDON!

Hello everyone!!

It's our second weekend here!! On Saturday we had to get up really early (some of us at 6 o'clock) to take the bus which was going to take us to the capital of England, London! We started our trip to this beautiful city at 7:30 am and we arrived in London at 10:30ish. It was a long way by bus, but it really worthed it! 

We started our tour walking along the river Thames until we got to the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. We took hundreds of pictures there and it was really amazing to see the students completely fascinated as for some of the it was their first time in London! There we could also see Websminster Abbey, where William and Kate got married  four years ago. We continued visiting Downing Street, where the English Prime Minister lives, until we got to Trafalgar Square. Next, we went to Buckingham Palace, where the Queen of England lives, and we had lunch at Green Park, very close to the Palace. After walking a little bit when we all had finished our lunch, we went to Piccadilly Circus where we gave them free time (like 2 hours) to go shopping, take pictures,... Finally, we met together to go to Covent Garden and it was completely crowded!! We spent there like and hour and then we went back to the bus to return to Norwich. It was such a long day, but we had lots of fun in London!

Es nuestro segundo fin de semana aquí !! El sábado nos tuvimos que levantar muy temprano (algunos de nosotros a las 6 de la manana) para tomar el bus que iba a llevarnos a la capital de Inglaterra, Londres! Comenzamos nuestro viaje a esta hermosa ciudad a las 7:30 de la mañana y llegamos a Londres a las 10: 30 mas o menos. Fue un viaje largo en autobús, pero merecio mucho la pena!

Comenzamos nuestro recorrido a pie por el río Támesis hasta que llegamos al Big Ben y al Parlamento. Tomamos cientos de fotos allí y fue realmente increíble ver a los estudiantes completamente fascinados ya que para algunos de ellos era su primera vez en Londres! Ahi  también pudimos ver la Abadia de Websminster, donde William y Kate se casaron hace cuatro años. Continuamos visitando Downing Street, donde el primer Primer Ministro Inglés, hasta que llegamos a la Plaza de Trafalgar. Después, nos fuimos al Palacio de Buckingham, donde vive la reina de Inglaterra, y almorzamos en el Green Park, muy cerca del Palacio. Después de caminar un poco cuando todos habíamos terminado nuestro almuerzo, fuimos a Piccadilly Circus, donde les dimos tiempo libre (como 2 horas) para ir de compras, tomar fotografías, ... Por último, nos reunimos para ir todos juntos a Covent Garden que estaba lleno de gente!! Pasamos allí como una hora y luego volvimos al autobús de vuelta a Norwich. Fue un día muy largo, pero nos divertimos un montón en Londres!
